The nature of durian thorn is spiking outwards; however, in order to create an advance form, Thornbury feaures thorn which pierced inwards instead. This creates an artificial look that is also enhanced by bended shape of the thorns while retaining the sharp edges.

 

The bowl, itself, highlights the natural shape of durian. It was inspired from durian seed and further developed by giving different wall thickness. This, it forms the backbone of the organic concepts of Thornbury
